Isn't this a support board

I came here looking for support all I see is drama. More drama to compile what I already have. All humans will have different viewpoints but the point is to help not to isolate or attack. I didn't find this site very helpful more like a war zone and I won't be back.

The purpose of this board for me is to find out why bm's think the way they do...One cant help the fact that the input/experiences of a another are related to topics other than what this board was set up for...this is why the statement was made "if ur going to make a statement" to watch what u say. But then again this is america, people are going to say how they feel...its uncontrolable. I'm destined to be a social worker, and with that comes learning how/why people think the way they do... ;D

You're correct people should read/respond at their own risk. I have found this board very insightful and have agreed to join after reading and actually beginning to understand why some BM and BD react/behave a certain way. Don't agree with it all but at least now I am beginning to understand.

I had a hard time looking over the negative remarks towards BMD sisters. I'm getting over that now and saying what I believe. It just seems that you have to spend too much time telling some that "you haven't been in my SPECIFIC shoes".

Thanks Destin, and welcome to THE BOARD. . I look forward to new input, as I enjoy adding my own. I think the key to survival on this board is to not be intimated by anyones outlandish remarks, because they may be going through something way more than they appear to be. I look at it as a chance to help others overcome a tuff situation in their life. I know it sounds corny but its true, coming from myslf that is..We are all sistas, no matter what color, ethnicity we are. As well as the brothas that have the courage to join us. To them I'd also like say ur opinions are welcome here anytime..... ;D

This board has actually helped me to be more expressive of my opinions in my relationship. Where as I always knew what i wanted to say but didnt quite know how to say it with out striking the match... Know what I mean?

Yes, this is a support board.

I often feel like misswifey when the fire gets hot, but i quickly realize that it is not the fault of the CBM's who frequent this board.

They need support too. I think it helps them to be redirected with the appropriate behavior and how to respond in a more positive way. And all others are here to help them as well.

MissWifey gave up on the site to easily, I hope she doesn't give up on a good man that easy. Everything will not be peaches n cream on a open message forum, but that is how you learn different perspectives regardless to whether you agree or not. there is a lot to learn from this site much more than the few little battles that have occurred. Sometimes you have to weed through the BS get what you need from something benefical. We can't lie on here and just have all the conversation smiley kumbiya holding hands and singing we shall overcome someday because that is not reality and this is a very touchy and sensitve subject for everyone involved.
