Hello. I am new and need to vent and advice. I am currently engaged, and have been with my fiance for almost 2 years now. We were high school sweethearts, but broke up then when I moved away to college disconnected for about 10 years. Well when I returned to my hometown, he found me, and we got back together after some time. Everything with us is wonderful. In that 10 years, I had gotten married and divorced, with no children. He was with a woman for 8 years, had 3 children (all with her although I question the paternity of the youngest), and broke up with her a year before we got together.
I guess I was always "the one that got away" and from when they had first started dating she was jealous of me because she heard a lot about me through different people. He and I live together, and he has regular visitation. BM HATES me. She is "engaged" as well and her man lives with her, and she gets along with HIS BM. But when it comes to me she won't even talk to me. I usually don't go with my fiance to return the kids, but if we all spent the day at the park or somewhere else and we are close to her house I will be in the car. In the past year this has happened TWICE. She has gone around threatening to assault me and calling me all kinds of names saying that I'm disrespecting her by coming when he takes the kids back. But they come and spend the weekend, we get along great, I DON'T talk bad about her no matter how much wrong she does, but she publicly threatens that if I show up with him again she's "going to jail". Yesterday I called an officer to escort us since we were all together, and she still is talking hot s#@!. Sent me a few messages claiming all sorts of foolishness that takes too long to type. What do I do? Fiance is so upset, and he's the type that is like "she just needs her a$$ kicked one time so she will understand" but he doesn't want his kids to feel this tension. I don't want to fight her, but I also don't necessarily want to put her in jail. I keep documentation of everything she posts on the internet about me, in case I need a police report. I just don't want to do that.

You are not breaking any laws by being in the car with him when he picks up or drops off the kids. You did right to get a police escort. As SM, I'd completely ignore her as much as possible. Not acknowledge any of the BD and hope that it gets boring for her and she crawls back under the rock she came from.
