I don't know why BMs think that way! When I first spoke with DHs BM she mentioned my salary, etc counting if he and I were to marry. I quickly informed her that would not be the case. She dropped the subject and began ranting about something else.
The court asks parents to bring in bank statements in case a parent goes into arrears. The judge can order an Order of Writ to place a lien on the bank account and the judge determines what amount is excessive.
When the CS office verifies employment, they send a wage withholding letter to the employer allowing 30 days for a response. The court can not use bank statements, etc for employment verification, that has to go through the employer. But of course the custodial parent can alert them of where the non-custodial parent works.

My God, can you imagine how many women would NOT marry a man with other children if we had to worry about our finances being factored into the child support amount??? H#ll hath no fury like a woman scorned. The BM would not be the only crazy one. The stepmoms would be TWICE as bad as the Baby Daddy if we had to pay for someone else's child. I think the courts would have to find me in contempt cause I would not report anything. LOL. What a scary thought!
