Some people feel that because they have a child with someone that gives them a license to make that person's life miserable. I've seen cases of the dad trying to run the mom crazy so he can get custody of the kids so he doesn't have to support them and cases of the mom acting all crazy as to run any potential girlfriends for the dad off. The bottom line here is that people are entitled to their own lives and happiness regardless of who you have a child with. The sooner people mature and quit trying to exploit the children for their own selfish gains we could see some harmony between people who have children together but are no longer together.
The problem is that the mentality's of the people involved are at odd's with each other. Most mom's want financial and physical help with the children. Most good dad's want to provide financial and physical support. Occasionally you have the bad apple mom's who just want to control everything and the bad apple dad's who don't want to have to contribute anything financially or emotionally.
It's appalling the treatment of BM's by black males. It's as if they resent them for causing them to have to take responsibility for their actions. It's appalling how some unfit women have baby after baby by different men and neither one have anything educationally, financially or emotionally to give to the child. Parenting is about growing a child emotionally to become the best person he or she can be, and to be able to independently make good decisions and perservere in life. The problem is most parents don't know this. They thinks it's their children's job to please them or appease them. Parenting is a learned skill and 1 or both parents can do it. In a situation where the parents are at odds it is best that 1 parent do the parenting and the other just do the loving eventually they will both mesh together and the children will have the love and discipline they need to become healthy contributing members of society.
I do not buy into that societal lie that children have to come from intact homes to be successful. I believe that children must have good parenting, unconditional love and their basic day to day needs met, food, shelter, clothing etc. Also learn character, values and morals because those will help guide their decision making. A lot of black children are in the predicament they are in not because of an absent parent but because the failure of the parent they have to teach them the mental and emotional tools they need to survive. Also the lack of financial support from the absent parent which makes it harder for the CP to raise the child effectively.
Black children will be attacked by mainstream society that is why for them it crucial to have a foundation of unconditional love, values, morals, ethics so that they will be able to choose the right path to follow in life. There is a lack of morals and values in the black community. It seems as if a lot of people have this all about ME attitude. Which is why our young people are falling prey to guns, drugs, gangs, violence, jail, homosexuality, crime and other negative things.
White kids will always have it easier in some ways than our kids but the failure of the black child has less to do with racism but more to do with lack of proper parenting and inadequate resources. There is a complete lack of respect for authority and the worshipping of all things considered wrong. The average black male teen wan't to be a D BOY and the average black teen girl want's to be dimepiece that's married to a baller. Surely our children can accomplish more than that. What do you think?
