My children are 8 years old(twins) and I live 400 miles away from them. I go see them twice a month. I recently told my BM that I'm getting married, now my child is calling begging me not to get married and to give their mom another chance (this will be the third chance).
Prior to this, I have had many discussions with my girls about my GF and they told me they are OK with me getting married to her, but since I had the discussion with my BM, they have made these demands. They have changed the way they treat my GF and give her no respect.
If I were to talk to my BM about this situation, she will deny having had influence on the way they are acting. BUT I know she has!
How do I make my child understand that me and their mom will never be together even though their mom has custody and makes them believe that this is the only way true happiness can come about?
