I'm new to the board and I'm sure this has already been discussed a thousand times
, but here goes:
My defintion of a baby mama so everyone can know where I'm coming from.
baby mama: A woman who has a baby/babies for the man she had sex with. She has gone from being potential girlfriend/wife material to a BM. This new title isn't what she signed up for, so she does any and everything possible to "influence" BD into coming back to his "family". If this doesn't work, she will resort to all sorts of degrading, demeaning, and low class tactics (such as using her baby/babies as bargaining chips to further her agenda). BMs may also attempt to scare away any current or future new girlfriends/wives in hopes that BD will see the error of his ways with them out of the picture. Then he can return to her and she, the baby/babies and BD can be a "family" again.
Now, I know the world isn't black and white. This definition of a BM is the rule (in my opinion) and not the exception. If a woman doesn't exhibit most or all of these characteristics, then to me, she isn't a BM.
For all the ladies who have lived, learned, and moved on in their lives to become strong and independant , you are an inspiration.
For all the little girls who hold onto the past, don't put their child's interest ahead of the BDs and their own, play the blame game, don't take responsibility for their own actions (to hell with what BD did to you - you can't control another human being's life forever or control what they do) and start acting instead of reacting- GUESS WHAT!!
