Alright... Well.. I've never really posted to a board such as this, but I need some advice. I have been involved with a guy for only a few months, but we were talking about moving in together. He has 3 boys (14,13, and 3), but they have been living with their mother. Yes, the same woman. They weren't together the whole time, but they clearly have a long history.
Anyways, she got sick and went into the hospital for the last month, leaving my man to take care of his boys. Which is fine, even though it leaves less time for him to be with me. Last week, she got him arrested, claiming he hit her (even though she was still lying in a hospital bed.. so really.. he did not). When she got out of the hospital on Saturday, he finally got a chance to come to me. He told her that he was going to go visit of friend and that she was responsible for the kids. Welll.. She waits til he's been gone 2 hours and is almost to me, she calls and says he needs to come back and get the little one. My man being a nice guy and responsible for his kids, goes all the way back. Shortly after he gets there, the cops are called because they claim he is trespassing because he just wanted to see his other boys.
Sorry, this is so long.. Where we are at now... he's getting an emergency court date and petitioning for custody and a restraining order against her. This is getting all crazy... He is either gonna move in with me, or move all the way back to NYC. I don't want him to leave, but I'm also not sure I'm ready for her drama. I just know it's going to continue to get worse. How do I deal with this?? I love my man, but we are still in such a new relationship. I'm not sure I'm ready to take on 3 boys, and her craziness. I feel like she's doing all this and making his life miserable because he's with me. I don't want to give up on this relationship because I feel like she will win if I give in. I'm just worried. This relationship is new, and I haven't even met the boys. Mostly because she didn't want me to meet the boys until she met me. Which in some respects, I can understand. But really, I think she was trying to be spiteful, but my man agreed before that he would respect her wish. Now, that definitely isn't going to happen, given all the restraining orders being thrown around.. I'm just worried about taking in 3 boys that I haven't even met and having to deal with her drama. Sooo I was hoping someone out there would have some advice for me. It's all appreciated...
