I'm very new to this site as well as the drama that comes along with dating a man with a child. Here's my situation:
I have been with this guy for a year. In the beginning he told me he has a child and that him and his BM co parent. They were together four years before ending the relationship. He has his son Tuesday-Friday morning and every other Sat. She had him the other days. Well he would make time for me on the Saturday's he didn't have his son and sometimes during the week he would have a family member babysit for a few hours to spend time with me.
He woukd take his son to the movies and everything. He is a good dad. I found out that his BM has a daughter with another man(deadbeat) and that my boyfriend helps out with the little girl sometimes I.e. buying things for her and taking her to doctors appts.I recrecently found out that my boyfriend goes to his BM house in between breaks on his shifts which is usually 5 hours.I asked him why not go home or just stay at work since there is a place for him to sleep up there. He said he can't sleep up there and she stay closer to the job than he does. But whenever he is over there he NEVER answers the phone, I asked why and he said he don't want any drama. That floored me because if y'all not together or anything then wats the big deal?
Another thing I found out recently was that when he tells me he is taking out his son he isaactually taking out his BM and her daughter, driving, and paying for everyone. So basically I feel like they goin out like a lil family and that bothers me. He also doesn't answer the phone when they are out.
She calls him whenever regardless of if the child is with her or not, I mean when its not an emergency, and she'll call back to back if he doesn't answer. Which brings me to my next point. He NEVER answers her call when im around, instead he lets it go to voicemail and takes the phone with him later "to the bathroom" and calls her back. He recently told me that she doesn't know that he has a gf, she knew he was talking to someone but thats it. She also doesnt know that I am around their son alot. Im not sure if I'm wrong for feeling like that is disrespectful to me and her, but its how I feel. He doesn't want to introduce us because he said she would not play nice so to speak.
How should I deal with this situation?
Btw I have no children.
