So, DH contacted the Child Support Enforcement Office LAST YEAR & let them know that he was activated and being deployed to the Middle East. There is already an income deduction order on file. The caseworker said that she was going to send the income deduction paperwork to DFAS to begin garnishing his military wages. Well, 12 months later and the income deduction has not begun. Now DH arrived home last week from deployment. He is finished with his deployment. He is reporting back to his full time job next month. What do we get in the mail today? The military JUST received the income deduction paperwork from the Child Support Office to begin garnishing his wages. Does it take 12 months to send an income deduction order? I am darned glad that I made certain child support was paid while waiting on the wage garnishment to begin or my DH (WE) would owe a ton in back child support. The child support enforcement office moves really S- L- O- W- L[/b]- Y apparently. DH & I had a great laugh about this today.

Sometimes it's not a matter of getting people out of your life. Deceivers(users) are not going to back off or release a Believer(pleaser) a more uncomfortable situation or greater pain has to occur before the grip is broken and it will amaze one at how many women will resort to voodoo(hoodoo) for a means to continue the control over someone they cannot naturally have but that is a dangerous thing because there is no way to predict the future results. Only G-d knows the End of Days.

What??!! I guess you were trying to say something very profound worldonmyback. The child support office in my state works fast. As soon as they know who my DH's employer is I think child support RUNS the wage garnishment paperwork to his job. Will you have to let child support know that he is going back to his regular job?

child support office in new york suck.. First of all I applied in 2003 after countless court dates which BD never showed, they agreed on 100 weekly for 2 children.. I have yet to see a penny, I stated to the court he is in connecticutt which they replied there is nothing they can do. He doesn't work on the books and he is always in and out of jail.. So I take it as a loss I dont' even bother anymore..

That sucks.
Hey Tellit the child support office may have sent that information to them late. I know they typically allow 30 days for the non-custodial parents' employer to respond. Being that it's the military and he was deployed, it may have been difficult for them to reach him! Don't know, but GOOD thing you stayed on top of it.
And to think , some people want BM/GF/Wives to stay out of situations with BM and BD. Thanks goodness you didn't.
