Why is it that BMs like to come up with the smallest, most trivial thing to complain about?
BM sends a text to fiance telling him NOT to do their hair when they are with us. Riiiight. Actually the text said, "When (SD) says not to do their hair, don't do it, thank you."
?? SD says NADA about their hair. Fiance didn't respond so she sent another text saying that she doesn't deserve to be ignored. Yes you do, with stupid requests like those.
When the kids get there, their hair is already out of control. She doesn't really do their hair often at all, then have them walking around looking like who shot john and why'd you do it.
Fiance doesn't want them walking around with him like that with him. Who would?
When it's time to go back, we do their hair b/c it's a long ride and they are out in public. I ask the girls what hairstyle they want, then I do it. I don't do anything fancier than pigtails, maybe a french braid. I don't do anything intricate, I leave that for their mom. But they look nice, their hair is detangled and shiny. When I am combing through their hair, it's disgusting. It almost forms a dread lock around the hair scrungie and there's a ring of white dust underneath. Kind of gross. Why should we neglect their hair because their mother does???
Why does it matter who does their hair? Why does it matter that they spend time with me? So what I gave them a snack? Who cares that I washed their clothes? They go back to BM clean, full, smelling and looking good. This is wrong because.........?

trust and believe i know of what you speak and i will tell you that i thank the good Lord that my SD's mother has that covered. she normally has it up and done very nicely in the smaller braids so that they dont easily mess up. there have been a couple of times i had to do her hair, but in 7 yrs not many at all. even when they came to spend a month in the summer with us, on fridays, DH took the kids to see his mother who lives around the corner from BM sister and she met up to do her daughters hair, so i didnt have to deal with it. i know thats cuz she dont want another woman in her daughters head which is fine with me. but best believe if she didnt go out of her way to make sure her hair looked nice, I WOULD. and she'd be pissed. so she better keep doing what she doin. in your case, BM need to either comb her own daughters hair or SHUT UP. which she aint, you are, and?? your BM is a T-R-I-P, to say the least
