It all worked out!!!!!

My wedding was this past Friday. It was absolutely pefect! (Jaylady, I promise the pics are coming soon!)

The kids were there, they were great!
After the wedding my MIL took the skids back to Maryland with her so we could enjoy our weekend. They did stop by on Sunday to say hello.

The oldest skid has wanted to talk to my DH (!) She told him how her mother (BM) prays every night for my DH to come home and that she cries over it. Not what we wanted to hear right then, but okay. Then she said that her favorite part of the wedding was when we kissed. She said that since we got married, DH can't come back home anymore, but that it kind of makes DH and I "mom and dad". So she told him that she wants to call me mom and to ask me if that was okay. I just cried, couldn't say much else, but it touched me beyond belief. I'm guessing that she wants that normal nuclear family and this is the closest she's had to it.

All in all, it was the best day ever.

I am so happy for you gemmani, I have been praying that all would go well and CBM syndrome would not mess up your day. We took a cue from you and moved our date up from April to february...but didnt tell banana cream pie.....hope mine goes as well as yours.

;D I am so absolutely happy that everything worked out for you and DH. So thankful the kids were able to be there, I know how it feels to have a threat that they wont be there. And even though it would have gone on without them, it wouldnt have been the same. Now yall will have the memories forever of the day when you became husband and wife, the kids were there to witness as family should be. Congrats again, and I cant wait to see the pics!

Thank you, ladies. It's such a relief knowing it's all over and done with. We are hoping that there isn't any backlash come this weekend. I guess time will tell.

I'm starting to feel really bad for her, that thing that the oldest girl was saying about how mommy prays every night for daddy to come home........if BM hadn't been such a c*nt, I would feel really, really bad for her. I know the pain of love lost, I've lived it. But this is ridiculous.

Things have been quiet for the most part. BM tried to start a fight with DH, but he wasn't taking her bait. So far so good, let's hope it lasts.
